Seasoned travellers, Uwe and Carel, were in South Africa on holiday when they discovered Barrydale and - "It was love at first sight..."

 

They relocated from Hamburg to Barrydale in 2014, and then saw potential in this beautiful 1920's building, which has lovingly undergone extensive renovations whilst retaining the character of the original home.

 

Passionate about whatever they do, Uwe and Carel will either entertain you royally, or leave you totally to your own devices - whatsoever you wish.

 

Uwe’s cooking is to cordon bleu chef standards and with a flourishing vegetable garden, dinners are prepared with seasonal produce and much tender loving care.

 

They endeavour to support the local community extensively and are currently generously donating to a much needed day care center in Barrydale, amongst other charities within the local community.
